Happy Birthday Trees!

Dear Parents,

Since returning from winter break, our friends are getting more familiar with our alef beis and abc charts.
Every morning at the circle time our friends take turns to help Morah sing and point on each letter of alef beis and abc letters on the chart.

Then our friends have to go and find the first letter of their Hebrew name.

This week we added the first Hebrew latter on their chairs in the classroom. At the snack and lunch time our friends having fun finding their own letter before they sit down.

Tu B'Shvat

This week we are continuing to explore more about holiday Tu B'Shvat: the birthday of trees.
We have been saying, "Happy birthday, trees!" everyday.

Peach Room Tree

Our class has been working on an ongoing, group project. We are creating our own Peach Room Family Tree. Every day we add some more to our tree as we talk about the different parts of the tree: roots, trunk, bark, branches, and leaves. We have explored different textures and mediums in this collage work. Our friends began by painting our cardboard tree all together. Then they added some bark to the tree. We used yellow, green and red paint dots to make leaves.
Our tree looks like a peace of art. It is so creative and beautiful!

Seeds

Our friends used a magnifying glass to discover the seeds inside of some fruits and vegetables. We discovered that some fruits have many small seeds inside, and some have large seeds. Then we tasted some fruits!

Happy Tu B'Shvat and Shabbat Shalom!
Morah Ora and Morah Chaya.
